The GeForce 178.13 WHQL

Certified driver for the 32bit version of Windows XP comes with support for the GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9 and GTX 200 series cards, it includes the PhysX v8.09.04 software and features:
  • Added support for 2-way Nvidia SLI technology with GeForce GTX 200-series GPUs on Intel D5400XS motherboards.
  • Support for single GPU and Nvidia SLI technology on DirectX 9 and OpenGL
    CUDA support.
  • Support for the Folding@home distributing computing application.
  • Numerous 3D application compatibility fixes- Several 3D application performance improvements.
  • For example (improvements measured with 178.13 versus 175.19):
  • Single GPU increases up to 11% in 3DMark Vantage (performance preset)
  • Single GPU increases up to 11% in Assassin's Creed DX10

Playable demo now available for Xbox 360 owners.

Major Nelson also brings word of a playable demo released Monday for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which weighs in at 849MB and allows players to test out the multiplayer-focused team-based shooter.

Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars 1.5 Later Today 21-05-08 17:00:22

Great news - The latest Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars game update is currently headed straight for the tubes of the internet! We're planning to push the the Windows and Linux versions along with the upated SDK this evening London time, while the folks at Aspyr are currently putting the finishing touches on the Mac version. If you want to read up on the changes and improvements included in 1.5, you can do so by way of  this forum topic. To round out the impending file assault, we'll also have the final version of the Official Competition Mod available within the coming days.

As soon as the 1.5 update is ready for download, we'll publish it!
